CMA, one of the world's top ten shipping companies, recently said it would not raise rates until February next year(2022), followed by Maersk and Hapag-Lloyd. Industry have guessed sea freight rise to the end?

Asia to East coast of South America: us $1000 / container
Asia to Suape, Brazil: $2,000 / container

Maersk again raised its earnings forecast

In addition, yesterday Maersk issued another upward earnings forecast announcement. This is the third time this year that Maersk has raised its full-year earnings forecast.

Original: Estimated EBITDA of $8.5 billion to $10.5 billion, EBIT of $4.3 billion to $6.3 billion;

April upgrade: $13 - $15 billion EBITDA, $9 - $11 billion EBIT;

August upgrade: Expected EBITDA of $18 - $19.5 billion, EBIT of $14 - $15.5 billion;

Upgrade: EBITDA is now $22 - $23 billion, EBIT is now $18 - $19 billion.
